Teaching Methodology
When they feel comfortable and safe.
When they want to learn something or know you need to learn it.
When they know why, not just how.
When they are not afraid to make mistakes.
When they know what is expected and what is acceptable.
When they have time and they feel relaxed and enjoy the lesson.
When they are allowed to explore and explained what they have learned.
When someone notices they've done well and they are praised, (and the good news is passed on to someone important to them).
When they think about what worked and didn't work and decide how to do better.
When they are encouraged to discuss work or share their skills and knowledge with others.
When they are encouraged to think about things in new ways.
When they are helped and supported by friends.
